01Saint Rita of Cascia
Born in 1381 in Roccaporena, near Cascia in Umbria, Saint Rita is the patron saint of impossible causes. Her story is marked by the rose that bloomed in the depths of winter and by the white bees that, tradition says, circled her cradle. The rose and the cross sit at the heart of our emblem.
02Santa Cruz, Brazil
On the Alto de Santa Rita hill in Santa Cruz stands, since 2010, a 56-metre monument to the saint — one of the largest Catholic monuments in the world and a destination for pilgrims from all over Brazil. This is where Sainte Croix is headquartered.
03A backland of stone
Santa Cruz lies on the edge of the Seridó, over the Borborema Province: rocks formed more than half a billion years ago, cut by pegmatites that hold quartz, feldspar, tourmaline and beryl. ION-E, our parent company, mines and processes this geology; Sainte Croix turns it into surface.
04To the world
Our purpose is to bring the stones of the Seridó, with true luxury, to residences, hotels and spaces that call for a rare material — with origin, history and a finish to match.
